5K PEP RALLY
The 5K Pep Rally was held on Friday May 15th, the day before the big event, to celebrate all that the resident athletes had done to train and prepare for the 5K. Our favorite DJ Pat Musslewhite and his wife traveled from Roanoke to be a part of the event. Our friend Nutzy from the Richmond Flying Squirrels dropped by to cheer and congratulate the 100 resident athletes for a job well done with their training for the 5K. We even had our friends from the 5th grade class at Orchard House School stop by to dance, sing and cheer. It was a fun afternoon for all in attendance.

6TH ANNUAL 5K WALK AND ROLL
100 resident athletes, 25 families, over 30 staff members, 10 guest athletes and over 100 volunteers (including current and new volunteers) took to the streets of Byrd Park for the annual 5K Walk and Roll. The VCU Peppas brought the noise and excitement as the participants geared up to begin their walk and roll. This year our course was around Swan Lake right in front of The Home and at the middle of the course was our popular Party Zone where participants could stop for a drink of water and spin the prize wheel. DJs Pat and Sam entertained as participants crossed the finish line. It was a beautiful day and fun was had by all. We hope you all will join us next year for our 7th year of Rolling Strong!
