For consultant services not offered on-site, The Virginia Home medical and nursing staff will coordinate residents’ care with area hospitals and medical practices. Appointments are scheduled for the residents and transportation provided by The Home to and from doctor’s appointments. All residents are accompanied by a staff member for medical appointments.

A Point of Pride

While it takes many talented hands and hearts to make The Virginia Home run smoothly each day, the nursing staff play a unique role in each of the resident’s lives. A primary responsibility of the nursing staff is helping each resident with the activities of daily living : eating, bathing, dressing & personal care. A point of pride for the Virginia Home is a well-cultivated culture of caring – for each person and their needs.  Nursing leadership plans successful strategies that are skillfully implemented by trained staff to maintain a high-level of satisfaction among residents, reduce risks in daily activities and create an exceptionally safe and healthful environment for all.
