Everyone Will Have a Legacy
Your legacy is the mark you make on the world – an impact that will live on for years to come. Remembering The Home’s endowment in your estate plans will touch every resident in our vibrant community every day. Include The Home in your will, in a life insurance policy or otherwise, and you’ll be remembered in the security and enjoyment our residents experience from day to day.

Few residents have the financial resources to completely pay for their care. For the majority, financial assistance from federal and state sources administrated through Medicaid provides about two-thirds of the per diem. The balance is covered by unrestricted gifts and grants, plus income generated by The Home’s Endowment.
Your financial support enables our residents to live rich, fulfilling lives. All contributions to The Virginia Home are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law, and unless dedicated to a specific purpose, are used to help defray the cost of daily care for residents. Please consider lending your support in one of the following ways:
- Cash or stock gifts made directly to The Home. Your gift may be further increased through corporate matching gift programs;
- Give via the United Way Donor Choice Program. Our United Way code is # 3020;
- Give via the Combined Virginia Campaign. Our CVC code is # 3744.
- Perhaps you’d like to earmark your gift for one of The Home’s events or resident programs? We would greatly appreciate your support of Travel Scholarship Program, our Walk & Roll 5k, and our annual fundraising event, Stories of Courage & Grace.
